TAC: What is it about chiropractic that makes you want to lead a school into the future? JS: Of all the CAMS professions, chiropractic medicine is unique in the opportunities it provides due to its broad scope of practice combined with established licensure nationwide. Our medicine allows physicians to practice as narrowly or as broadly as they are trained to do, and allows them to specialize in areas of advanced expertise, such as sports medicine, physical rehabilitation, functional medicine, and more.

Most third-party payers provide benefits for these additional services and, therefore, expect proper documentation from the initial visit through the routine office visits to prove medical necessity.

It is necessary for the student and prospective clinician to understand how the brain collects data from sensory receptors in the organs and tissues, and then sends appropriate signals back to initiate the proper response.
